Privacy Policy — Swipe Gallery
Last updated: October 5, 2025
Swipe Gallery (“the App”) helps you review and clean up photos on your iOS device. This policy explains what
we access and how we handle information.
1) What we access & why
-
Photos Library (required):
Access scope: Read photo/video metadata and thumbnails to display items; request deletion/move
to Recently Deleted when you swipe left or choose Delete.
Purpose: Show your media, count photos by filters (e.g., This Month), and perform your delete
actions.
Storage: We do not upload your photos or videos to our servers. Processing happens on-device.
-
Location metadata (optional):
Access scope: We do not track your live location. If enabled, we read embedded location
metadata from photos to group items by place.
Purpose: “Places” feature for grouping.
-
Subscriptions & purchases:
Data from Apple & RevenueCat: Anonymous identifiers, purchase receipts, entitlement
status.
Purpose: Manage trials, subscriptions, and restore purchases.
Third parties: We use RevenueCat to validate receipts with Apple. See RevenueCat’s policy for details.
-
Crash & diagnostics (optional/OS-level):
If you opt in to Apple’s analytics/crash reports, Apple may share anonymized diagnostics with
developers. We don’t see personal content.
2) What we do not collect
- We do not upload your photos, videos, face data, or albums to our servers.
- No ad networks or user profiling.
- No precise GPS tracking.
3) Deletions & “Recently Deleted”
When you delete items, iOS moves them to Recently Deleted; they can be recovered or permanently removed
according to your Photos settings. The App cannot bypass this behavior.
4) Data sharing
- We don’t sell your data. Limited sharing occurs to operate the App:
- Apple (App Store, in-app purchases).
- RevenueCat (purchase validation & entitlements).
- No other third parties receive your photo content.
5) Security
All processing of your media occurs locally on your device. Subscription data is transmitted over encrypted
connections to Apple/RevenueCat.
6) Your choices & rights
-
Permissions: You can change Photos/Location access in iOS Settings → Privacy. The
App works with Limited Photos access.
-
Access/Deletion: Because we don’t store your media on our servers, requests about media
content should be handled in your Photos app. For account/purchase data questions, contact us.
-
EU/UK/California rights: You may request access or deletion of any account data we hold
(typically purchase records).
7) Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region).
8) International transfers
We do not host your photos. Subscription metadata may be processed by Apple/RevenueCat on servers outside
your country per their policies.
9) Changes
We may update this policy. We’ll change the “Last updated” date and, if changes are material, notify you
in-app.
